Music Curriculum & CCA

Music Delight has conducts CCAs for instruments like the Guitar, Ukulele and Keyboard several schools. Instructors have managed to coach students with little or no music experience to being able to proficiently perform in schools and at public events.

Previously, in the CCAs, we have seen MD mentor students for performances such as the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) celebrations, as well as internationally recognized examinations such as the Trinity College of Music Ensemble Examinations or the London College of Music Ensemble Examinations, attaining both Certificates of Merit, Accomplishment and multiple Distinctions.

Our programmes and lesson plans are flexible and customizable to the school's demands in developing each individual student effectively.

AMIS

Each Instructor is AMIS-certified to conduct Music Lessons in classroom settings from Primary 1 to Upper Secondary levels.

eIRS

Each Instructor is registered with the MOE Instructor Registration Scheme to conduct Music Enrichments

CCA

We take students with no music background and teach them to perform for school events, occasions and festivals.

Our school has specially designed lesson books for curriculums. We will distribute to each student at the start of the lessons and the children can keep and continue to explore the extra materials we have included inside as well !

AMIS Lessons Available

Ukulele

Beginner & Advanced Level available. Beginners focus on playing 4 chords (C Major) and strumming 10-20 songs. Advanced level learns additional chords in a 2nd key and optional finger picking to read Ukulele tablature and Music Notes. Suitable from Primary 3 onwards.

Guitar

Beginner & Advanced Level available. Beginners focus on playing 4 chords (G Major) and strumming 10-20 songs. Advanced level learns additional chords in a 2nd key and optional finger picking to read Guitar tablature and Music Notes. Suitable from Primary 4 onwards.

Electronic Keyboard

Students will be taught basic note reading on the treble clef. Customized lesson plans will be created based on number of sessions, to include playing of melodies to playing of chords to accompany singing. Students will also learn to play with different tones and rhythms.

Cajon

Students will learn to beat different rhythms to create patterns for different genres of music. They will learn about the Snare, Bass & Slap on the Cajon. Additional techniques will be taught to allow students to explore more styles of Cajon playing.

Vocals

Vocal lessons help students develop the confidence to perform and present themselves. Having the right breathing techniques and knowing how to do vocal warm ups allow students to expand their vocal range. Our teachers will give students the ability to sing out confidently!

iPad Garageband

Modern day Music making involves technology and one of the easiest ways to do this is through Garageband. We focus on teaching students to create multi-track music ranging from bass to melody, chords, accompaniment & even use of loops & drum beats to create electronic music!
